Christopher Charles Thompson is an exceptional communicator and leader. A gifted writer, preacher and teacher, he inspires and equips young and old alike to take hold of their God-ordained purpose. Born and raised in Beaufort, SC. He received the call to ministry when he was only sixteen years old; upon which he enrolled at what was then Oakwood College (now Oakwood University), and graduated four years later with honors.

He began his professional ministry in the Carolina Conference as a teacher at the Beaufort SDA School and Assistant Pastor of the Beaufort SDA Church. Under his leadership, the school doubled its enrollment in one year. He later served as Assistant Pastor for Discipleship at the Madison Mission SDA Church. While in Alabama, he also served as pastor for the Triana SDA Church.

In 2007 he accepted the call to join the Allegheny West Conference family. He was assigned to the Rock of Faith SDA Church in Pittsburgh, PA and then later the Berean SDA Church in Uniontown, PA. He most recently served as the Associate Pastor of the Ephesus SDA Church in Columbus, OH.

He also holds a Masters degree Pastoral Studies and Church Development, and brings with it a passion for helping people grow spiritually. He has also received a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

He is also an author, having written numerous articles for various publications as well as three books, My Savior and My Lord, 360º Christian, and Training Days. In 2012, he also wrote and produced a documentary entitled Good Grief to help people cope with traumatic experiences. He also serves as the editor and content manager for the Pastoral Evangelism Leadership Council. This organization creates ministry resources for pastors and leaders all over the world.

He is an avid reader and athlete. He enjoys running, cycling, tennis, and most of all basketball. In 2011, he ran the Pittsburgh Marathon, and in 2014, he ran the Columbus Marathon in 3 hours 41 minutes and 09 seconds.

He is happily married to the former Tracy Harris (10 years), and they have one son Christopher Charles II (age 6). They are both proud members of the “one-and-done club.”
